Daydreamer To Dream Chaser

Hi Sweeties,

I’ve been wanting to write something of this sort for a while. I have so much to share with you all about this transformation I have had in the last month. I have changed so much, and grow so much in the past month. These are all things that I have lived and I wanted to share. I am not perfect, nobody is, but I am growing, I am learning and I am a dream chaser. With the New Year, is the perfect time to jump start your dream chasing!!
Find out some tools I have picked up and how they have changed my life from day dreamer to dream chaser below:

Step 1: Prioritize

If you want something, you have to make everything/every step to get there a priority. I feel like I need to write a whole other blog post about this, but in short, prioritize the time you have. There are two specific areas that I have found you NEED to prioritize your time in:

Your Relationships: Only have time for the people who see your dream and your vision, who lifts you up and support you. If they don’t do this, unfortunately they have no purpose in your life, and get rid of toxic relationships! This has been a huge eye opener for me in the month; realizing these relationships and leaving them behind have helped me to become the person I want to be. Strong relationships that uplift you and cultivate an empowering bond are the ones to keep around.

Your choices: You can sleep in and not get anything done, or you can wake up and chase your dreams! You can eat those extra carbs and crash from being tired, or you can fuel your body with healthy food and it will carry you through the day to success. YOU choose to get things done, YOU wake up with a goal to get things done OR NOT. The choice is yours to be who you want to be.

Step 2: Do not care what anyone else thinks

Something I have struggled with my whole life is caring what others think about me. I am 32 years old, I am not getting any younger; each year I will be older and I will either be closer to my dream or far away from it. Every day you are either growing and coming closer to your goal or you are giving up and dying (heavy word I know, but this is the truth). If you care what others think, you are only living for them. Others opinions of you will not get you to your goals, what YOU think about you will get you to your goals. Are you your biggest fan? If not, you should be because you’re awesome.
Also, another thought, if people are mean and unsupportive of you, well refer back to “prioritizing relationships!” Only keep around people who help you grow and think you’re the real deal.

Step 3: Have daily Motivation/Rituals

The single biggest step that I have taken to make sure I am pushing myself every day is to be inspired every day!! I either read 10 pages of a motivational book or I meditate. I never thought that meditation was so good for your soul.
I just finish reading The Magic from Rhonda Byrnes, and The Secret by the same author, its the best books to give you motivation through out the day. The books that changed me and become who I am now. I have a review on The Magic Book on my blog as well.
These books makes you open your eyes and shows you that YOU are the most important person in your life.
These books will give you the motivation you will need in your life; read the books, you’ll thank me later.

Meditation: This is something I try to do every day. Clearing your head and thinking about what you want and visualizing it. I don’t always sit in silence and sort through my thoughts. I also do yoga, write in a journal and read.

Step 4: Find out who is already where you want to be

To know how to get where you want to be, you need to find people who are already doing it. How did they get there? What are they doing to make them successful? My tip of advice is: find out what others are doing to make them successful.
Do you want to be happier? What are happy people doing that you aren’t doing? Do you want to have financial freedom? What did people who were in debit doing to get out of debit and how are they living now? Find out what your dream is and chase that by finding out how others got there, these people are your best mentors. Simple as that!

Step 5: Fall 5 times and get back up 6

Life happens, and we all have to remember this. You can’t choose what happens to you but you can choose to get back up and do better. Day dreamers fall and blame the world for pushing them, they lie on the ground waiting for someone to pick them up. Dream chasers always get back up, they do not believe the world owes them anything, and they always keep growing.

I hope this gives you some inspiration and Motivation. These is basically what I do, for about a month now, and believe if I changed, you can change too.

Let me know what motivates you. Thank you!
